King Diamond rocks Best Buy!

I've seen King Diamond a few times in my life, whether solo or with Mercyful Fate, and he never disappoints. I didn't go to last night's show but from the reviews online and from friend's posts on Facebook it's apparent that this man and his band still have it. I saw clips of the rehearsals on Youtube and the stage setup looked awesome. If you went to the show last night let me hear your thoughts.

Another Volta bites the dust

Well, it's been awhile since Jeremy Michael Ward passed on but for some reason this wasn't a shocker. Ikey Owens passed away in a hotel in Mexico at the age of 38 while on tour with Jack White, formerly of White Stripes.

I saw him with Mars Volta on the "Frances The Mute" tour back in 2005 and this guy was just in his own world. He was awesome. He'd be on the songs like clockwork yet still feel as if he's in the moment. I had never seen a keyboardist of his kind and have yet to see one yet. May you rest in peace Mr. Owens. You were one of a kind.
